Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor (born 7 November 1996), known by her stage name Lorde, is a New Zealand singer and songwriter. Born in Takapuna and raised in Devonport, Auckland, she became interested in music at a young age. She has had 1 single to top the UK charts.
FASHION AND STYLE
Lorde is known for her unique sense of dark fashion. Almost everywhere she goes, she wears black or dark colours. Normally, she wears long black dresses and always stands out at events. I think her dress sense is very unique and interesting. Lorde likes to try new things, which makes her unique. For example at the Grammys, she painted black nail polish through to her skin, which was seen as very unusual, but is still unique and interesting which others do not try. The lack of bright colours in her clothes may suggests that she likes to be a dark person, inside and out. It links to which genre of music she makes. Her songs are quite slow and dark, which is the same as her fashion.

This could may be a picture of Lorde herself, as it quite looks like it because of the long hair and dark colours. Her 'dark' theme follows in her social media, where on Instagram, she posts very dakr pictures, none which consist of bright colours. She has lots of followers, showing her fame and importance within the music industry. Her name on both social medias are just her name, implying that everyone knows it well enough to follow, as it is quite unique and not used before. Unlike Adele, Lorde tweets things to let her fans know what she has been up to. Which is quite popular as audiences enjoy knowing what famous people are up too. On tweets like these, she gets around 50,000 likes, proving the popularity.
